Terms of Use

Using Daily Guitar

The app and site are provided for personal, non-commercial learning. Lesson content, branding, and the Daily Guitar name belong to us. Do not copy or redistribute the product except as allowed by the App Store or Google Play.

Please also do not try to break, overload, or work around the way the app and its services are meant to be used, and do not use the support form to send unlawful or abusive material.

Your account

Daily Guitar asks you to sign in with Google or with Apple so your progress follows you to a new phone. You are responsible for keeping access to that sign-in secure, and for what happens under your account.

You should be at least 13 years old to create an account. You can delete your account, and the data attached to it, at any time from inside the app: the Courses tab, then your picture in the top right, then Delete account. We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms.

The play-along videos

Songs are played along to using standard YouTube video embeds of publicly available recordings. The recordings, and the music in them, belong to their own rights holders and not to us. We do not download, copy, or re-host any video or audio, and playback is subject to YouTube's terms of service. A video may become unavailable at any time for reasons outside our control.

The chord charts, lessons, and arrangements that Daily Guitar draws over a recording are our own work.

Price

Daily Guitar is currently free to download and use, and there is nothing to buy inside it. If that changes, the price and what it covers will be shown clearly before you are asked to pay, and these terms will be updated.

Availability

We work to keep Daily Guitar simple and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change as we improve lessons, songs, and practice tools, and parts of the app depend on services we do not control, including your network, YouTube, and your device's own app store.

Downloads

iOS and Android downloads are handled by Apple and Google. Their store terms apply to downloads, purchases, and refunds. Apple and Google are not responsible for Daily Guitar, and any question about the app itself should come to us at the address below.

No warranty, and what we are liable for

Daily Guitar is a teaching tool, not professional instruction, and it is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. Playing a guitar is a physical activity: play within your comfort, and stop and seek advice if something hurts.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Daily Guitar. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law, and if you live somewhere that gives you statutory consumer rights, those rights still apply.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top. Continuing to use Daily Guitar after that means you accept the updated terms.
